An $8.6 million imaging suite that includes an MRI, PET-CT scanner, SPECT-CT scanner and a C-arm X-ray will allow scientists to study infectious diseases without exposing the equipment or rooms to the diseases. The suite will have biosafety level 3 containment that will isolate organisms from the outside environment.
