South Carolina’s Grand Strand Regional Medical Center Opens New Cardiac Wing

Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has completed its new hospital wing that consolidates the majority of its cardiac services, according to a hospital news release.

The 90,000-square-foot wing includes three cardiac catheterization laboratories, one electrophysiology laboratory, a 12-bed pre-/post-catheterization area, two eight-bed intensive care units and a 24-bed cardiac progressive care unit.  

The new wing is part of a $54 million expansion program that includes expanding the emergency department and adding 50 inpatient beds.
