Dayton (Ohio) Children’s Hospital has launched an ophthalmology imaging solution that extends the health system’s enterprise imaging platform beyond radiology.
The implementation gives clinicians a single point of access to ophthalmology images from multiple camera types within the same platform used for radiology, according to a July 9 news release. Clinicians can also review ophthalmology and radiology studies side by side when clinically relevant.
The hospital added the ophthalmology module to its existing enterprise imaging platform following a two-and-a-half-year contract. The implementation is expected to support an annual volume of 2,000 ophthalmology exams.
