5 rural hospitals partner on imaging services

Chester, Calif.-based Seneca Healthcare District has partnered with four other rural hospitals to provide mobile diagnostic imaging services across Plumas, Modoc and Shasta counties in California.

The Multi-Entity Regional Critical Access Hospital Mobile MRI program will rotate weekly among five critical access hospitals, according to an Oct. 21 news release from Seneca Healthcare District.

The other hospitals in the program are Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, Eastern Plumas Health Care in Portola, Modoc Medical Center in Alturas and Mayers Memorial Hospital District in Fall River Mills, the Plumas Sun reported Nov. 2.

The initiative will serve a collective community of more than 20,000 people, the release said.
