Tenet, UnitedHealthcare Reach Agreement on New Contract

Health insurer UnitedHealthcare and Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. have agreed on a new contract, according to a report from The Island Packet.

Patients insured by UnitedHealthcare will continue to receive treatment at in-network rates at Tenet facilities under the tentative deal, which the companies reached just hours before their old contract was set to expire at midnight on Aug. 1, according to the report.

UnitedHealthcare and Tenet reached their agreement following months of negotiations, according to the report. Tenet operates 49 hospitals and 127 outpatient centers nationwide.
