HCA’s Parallon Acquires Revenue Cycle Firm

Franklin, Tenn.-based Parallon Business Solutions, a subsidiary of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America, has acquired revenue cycle management firm The Outsource Group.

Parallon is a business and operational outsourcing firm for hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices and other healthcare organizations. HCA, the largest for-profit hospital chain in the United States, launched Parallon in 2011.

 

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of this year. Financial terms were not disclosed.

 

Adding St. Louis-based The Outsource Group will expand Parallon’s revenue cycle business. Hospitals also contract with Parallon for group purchasing, supply chain, workforce management, information technology and general consulting practices.
