Coventry’s “Carelink” high-performance network plans aim to give people access to affordable care through UnityPoint providers. The plans have been available to people in Des Moines for more than two years, according to a news release. The expanded partnership will extend coverage to other areas in Iowa including Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Muscatine and Bettendorf. Illinois residents receiving care from UnityPoint providers in Moline and Rock Island will also have access to the plans.

The health system and insurer have submitted Carelink plans to the Iowa Department of Insurance for approval to be sold through the new health insurance marketplaces that open for enrollment this fall, according to the release.
