WSJ Investigation Sheds Light on Spike in Retractions in Scientific Journals

The data was compiled for The Wall Street Journal by Thomson Reuters showed although there were 22 retractions in 2001, that number jumped to 139 in 2006 and again to 339 last year, according to the report.
