The WHO is calling on leaders in all industries to allocate more resources for these health priorities, calling it an investment in our future.
“The cost of doing nothing is one we cannot afford,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, PhD, said in a press release. “Governments, communities and international agencies must work together to achieve these critical goals.”

2. Health crises in conflict zones
3. Global healthcare inequality
4. Limited access to medications
5. Infectious disease outbreaks
6. Lack of preparedness for disease epidemics
7. Unsafe consumer and food products
8. Underinvestment in health workers
9. High adolescent mortality rates
10. Mistrust in public health services
11. Technology monitoring and regulation
12. Antimicrobial resistance
13. Unsanitary healthcare environments
