She was recognized for her dedication, leadership and commitment to healthcare, the IAOTP said in a Jan. 30 statement.
Dr. Mathur is focused on the hospital’s operations, growth initiatives and performance-based improvements in her position at Texas Health Harris Methodist. She also oversees quality and patient safety programs.
In naming Dr. Mathur Top Medical Officer of the Year, IAOTP said Dr. Mathur “has been integral in developing a higher level of medical services to a growing community in Fort Worth, Texas.”
“She is brilliant at what she does, has a unique understanding of health policies, and has a diverse medical background as a physician leader in delivering both outpatient & clinic-based care as well as inpatient hospital medicine,” said Stephanie Cirami, IAOTP president, noting Dr. Mathur “truly understands the continuum of care her patients and community needs.”
