This step is the first of many the sandwich company has planned to reach its goal to be fully antibiotic free in the United States by 2025. In addition to converting to antibiotic-free chicken products, Subway will also eventually use antibiotic-free turkey, pork and beef products.
The restaurant chain has more than 27,000 locations across the nation.
