Senate Committee Questions State Oversight of Compounding Pharmacies

On Nov. 19, a Senate committee questioned states' oversight of compounding pharmacies as it continues to investigate the fungal meningitis outbreak tied to medication from the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Mass., according to an AHA News Now report.

The outbreak is linked to injectable epidural steroid medication that was later recalled by NECC.
