Senate Committee Faults “Bureaucratic Inertia” in Meningitis Outbreak

A Senate report presented at a committee hearing points to “bureaucratic inertia” as an obstacle to the prevention of the recent fungal meningitis outbreak linked to contaminated products from the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Mass., according to an AHA News Now report.
