Frost & Sullivan’s report, “Home Healthcare and Disease Management for Remote Patient Monitoring,” describes remote patient monitoring as a “cornerstone” for the telehealth industry. The report estimates future growth in the remote monitoring market will continue to be driven by traditional telemedicine systems but will also be boosted by consumer-focused products.

One of the main challenges to growth in the market is scalability, according to the release.
