In 2016, more than 340 people died of drug overdoses in Milwaukee County. More than half of those overdoses were attributable to opioids, according to a report from TMJ4.

“What we wanted to do was compile the information that’s out there in one place so that people wouldn’t have to shop around the internet,” Ann Christiansen, health director of the North Shore Health Department, told TMJ4. “We put some really concrete information in here about where to drop off medications if they have extras and how to identify the medications they have in their medicine cabinet.”
