Medline has donated more than 330,000 exam gloves to Centennial, Colo.-based Project C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment), a charitable provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries.
The exam gloves donated by Medline will be distributed to hospitals in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea in Ebola prevention kits approved by the World Health Organization. The kits include head covers, face shields, masks, duct tape, boots and covers, heavy duty aprons and goggles.
“All healthcare leaders must play a role in aiding this spreading crisis,” said Paul Lishnevsky, division president of exam gloves at Medline. “This is a health emergency that needs the attention and support of healthcare leaders across the globe.”
