The health centers must use the funds to hire trained outreach and eligibility assistance workers; the centers will make approximately 3,000 new hires nationwide.
These awards are another step in the federal government’s efforts to improve community-based health coverage outreach in advance of the January 2014 health insurance requirement deadline.
