Bronson Methodist Hospital is a sustainability leader in its community, starting on its sustainability journey in 1996 when it began a mercury-free initiative. Also, Bronson Methodist was Kalamazoo’s first LEED-certified healthcare facility and was also the first hospital in Michigan to sign the Healthy Food in Health Care Pledge and to implement a Styrofoam recycling program, both in 2008. This year, Practice Greenhealth gave Bronson Methodist a Greenhealth Partner for Change Award.
