Prophecy Healthcare launches HCAHPS nursing primer module

The patient outcomes hospital payments will increasingly be linked to are tied to HCAHPS scores. In the interest of providing front line staff with tools to create better patient experiences, clinical assessment firm Prophecy Healthcare has released an educational resource focused on improving satisfaction scores.

The HCAHPS Primer for Nursing module will cover staff responsiveness, pain management, communication with clinical staff, cleanliness and creating a patient-friendly hospital environment and discharge information. The product is aimed at helping staff both new and old develop the skills that most commonly influence patient perception of care, according to a news release.
