PCORI Makes $96M in Funding Available for Patient-Centered Research

Researchers planning to apply for $96 million in funding from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute must submit letters of intent to apply by Feb. 15, according to an AHA News Now report.

The funding will support research to “help patients and caregivers make better informed health and health care decisions,” according to the release. The funding addresses four of PCORI’s five national research priorities, according to the release:

•    Assessing prevention, diagnosis and treatment options
•    Improving healthcare systems
•    Communicating and disseminating research
•    Addressing disparities

Applications will be accepted through April 15.
