PCORI Approves $300M in Additional Funding for Research Projects

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute has approved an extra $300 million in funding between September and December for patient-centered outcomes research projects.

This year, PCORI has already awarded nearly $90 million in broad funding and has committed $30 million to preventing patient falls, according to a PCORI blog post.

The $300 million will come in part from future years of funding, as some projects span multiple years and will receive funding in the future.
