The Patient-Controlled Analgesia Checklist was assembled by the PPAHS and includes input from physicians at 13 healthcare organizations, including Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University, Cleveland Clinic, Cambridge, Mass.-based Harvard University, Stanford (Calif.) University and Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania.
The checklist includes items to consider upon pump initiation, refilling or programming change as well as items to consider during shift changes.
