The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released a complimentary checklist to assist hospitals' antibiotic stewardship efforts.

The checklist can be used to assess key elements and actions for appropriate antibiotic use and prescribing. It touches on factors such as leadership, accountability, administrative support, hospital policies and monitoring antibiotic use.
