Suicidal man with gun arrested outside Novant Medical Center

A suicidal man with a gun was arrested Tuesday night in the parking lot of Huntersville, N.C.-based Novant Medical Center, according to WSOC.

The man was taken into police custody around 6:30 p.m. and brought into the hospital for evaluation.

“For the safety and security of our patients, visitors and team members, this evening Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center initiated a temporary security lockdown due to a police matter that took place outside of our facility. For additional comment or details, please contact the Huntersville Police Department,” hospital officials said in a statement, according to WSOC.
