Patients fled the scene when the gunman, a regular patient of the pain clinic, opened fire. One witness said he heard eight shots fired. Police spokesperson Laura Meltzer said after turning the gun on himself, the man died from his wounds before police arrived. The two employees he shot suffered “fairly minor” injuries, according to Ms. Meltzer.
The name of the gunman was not released.
The Center for Wellness and Pain Care offers pain management services that include acupuncture, aromatherapy, massage therapy and prayer, according to the report.
