Julie Marhalik-Helms, BSN, RN. Senior Director of Quality Improvement of North American Partners in Anesthesia (Melville, N.Y.). In her role at NAPA, which provides anesthesia services to more than 200 clinical sites, Ms. Marhalik-Helms is responsible for the patient safety and quality program. In addition to traveling to NAPA’s client locations to train and educate clinicians on care quality and safety, Ms. Marhalik-Helms oversees the gathering of patient safety data on more than 1 million patient interactions. Ms. Marhalik-Helms has been a committee member on the practice quality improvement council with the Anesthesia Quality Institute since November 2014.
