Jason Adelman, MD. Chief Patient Safety Officer, Associate Chief Quality Officer and Director of Patient Safety Research at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center (New York City). Prior to his current role, Dr. Adelman served as the patient safety officer for Bronx, N.Y.-based Montefiore Health System from 2003 to 2015. In 2011, he completed the American Hospital Association-National Patient Safety Foundation Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship and was later selected to serve as a senior fellow of the Health Research & Educational Trust — the research arm of the AHA. Dr. Adelman is a member of the National Quality Forum Committee on Patient Safety Complications and serves on the editorial boards for the Journal for Healthcare Quality and the NPSF’s Insight Magazine.
