Doctors, nurses and other providers at the hospitals will meet quarterly for the next three years to compare data and best practices for reducing problems such as hospital-based infections.
The collaboration includes the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, Hospital Association of San Diego and Imperial Counties, Hospital Association of Southern California and the National Health Foundation.
