UTHealth Houston will offer free, in-state tuition for eligible students in its accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program who annually earn less than $100,000.

On June 10, the organization announced the Future Nurses Fund, which will supplement scholarships and grants. The fund features grants that waive tuition and fees for current and accepted students in the UTHealth Houston Cizik School of Nursing’s 15-month BSN program.

At least one-third of students are expected to benefit from the fund, according to the nursing school’s dean, Diane Santa Maria, DrPH, MSN, RN.

Beginning in the spring 2026 semester, select students in the UTHealth Houston Pacesetter accelerated BSN program will be eligible for the grants, according to a news release.
