UCSF Health named employer of the year by oncology nursing group

San Francisco-based UCSF Health has received the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation’s 2026 Employer Recognition Award.

UCSF Health representatives were presented with the award May 15 at the Oncology Nursing Society’s annual meeting, according to a June 3 news release from the ONCC.

The UCSF Health Cancer Service Line fully covers exam fees and review courses for certification through ONCC. Certified nurses also earn a biweekly pay differential and eligible certified per diem staff receive an annual bonus, the release said. 

ONCC’s certification programs for registered nurses are: Oncology Certified Nurse, Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse, Certified Breast Care Nurse, Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner and Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse.
