New Brunswick, N.J.-based Children’s Specialized Hospital’s Kelly Marcoux, PhD, CCRN, was named the inaugural recipient of the Society of Pediatric Nurses Daisy Award of the Year in Pediatric Nursing.
Dr. Marcoux, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer of the hospital, was recognized for her leadership, commitment to advancing pediatric nursing and dedication to improving the lives of children with complex healthcare needs, according to a June 2 system news release. In her role, she leads more than 700 staff members across 15 sites in New Jersey, and has strengthened its family-centered model of care, expanded professional development opportunities for nurses and enhanced patient safety and quality.
