Providence, R.I.-based Women & Infants Hospital launched a program that will provide up to $45,000 in loan repayments to nursing students.
The Scholars Network, launched by the hospital, connects students, schools and employers to tackle workforce shortages and student debt, according to a Feb. 3 hospital news release. The program offers loan repayments for enrolled nursing students who commit to joining Women & Infants upon licensure. Nurses can receive up to $45,000 over the course of three years.
“The Women & Infants Scholars Program is designed not only to provide financial relief but also to support early engagement, advising, and career planning,” the release said. “Students will engage with Women & Infants professionals throughout their training, ensuring they are supported both academically and professionally as they transition into practice.”
Women & Infants is operated by Providence-based Care New England.
