Georgia’s Memorial University Medical Center Receives $42,000 to Improve OR

Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., received a $42,000 grant from the Cardinal Health Foundation to further improve operating room safety and efficiency, according to a hospital news release.

MUMC will use the grant to implement a customized version of the World Health Organization’s surgical safety checklist for all obstetric surgeries and hire a safety and compliance nurse coordinator to oversee checklist implementation.
