New website aims to share best practices on virtual nursing

A group of experts on virtual nursing have launched a new website for leaders nationwide to share insights and strategies surrounding the growing trend.

The free website, virtualnursing.com, aims to give healthcare leaders a platform to discuss, adopt and implement virtual nursing workflows. The website offers various resources on virtual nursing, including articles, podcasts and interactive Q&A forums. 

The following health system and medical school leaders are part of the steering committee that created the website:

  • Karen Murphy PhD, RN, executive vice president and chief innovation and digital transformation officer at Geisinger (Danville, Pa.)
  • Kelly Aldrich, DNP, director of innovation at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (Nashville, Tenn.)
  • George Demiris PhD, associate dean for research and innovation at University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing (Philadelphia)
  • Eric Wallis DNP, RN, chief nursing executive at Henry Ford Health System (Detroit)
