LCMC Health, Chamberlain launch tuition-free nursing program

New Orleans-based LCMC Health and Downers Grove, Ill.-based Chamberlain University aim to address nursing workforce shortages through a new tuition-free nursing program, the organizations said May 25.

LCMC Health will cover 100 percent of tuition costs for up to 90 Bachelor of Science nursing students at Chamberlain every year for up to three years. In exchange, students will commit to working at LCMC Health for up to three years after they graduate and receive their nursing license.

The Called-to-Care Scholars program is open to applicants nationwide. In the program’s first year, students will be split across three sessions in September 2021, May 2022 and July 2022.
