Several months ago, HHS released a list of measures it was considering for use in various performance programs designed for healthcare providers. MAP was charged with evaluating each measure and creating a report with feedback and suggestions by Feb. 1.
In its pre-ruling report, MAP indicated one of three conclusions for each measure: supporting the measure, supporting the direction of the measure or not supporting the measure. Of the more than 350 measures under federal consideration, MAP has thrown its support behind 40 percent of the measures. It also supports the direction of 15 percent of the measures and does not support approximately 45 percent of the measures.
The pre-rulemaking report was open to the public until Jan. 20 and is now being submitting to the federal government for review.
