NQF Elects New Board Members

The National Quality Foundation has elected six new members to its 31-member board. The NQF board is comprised of major healthcare stakeholders in the private and public sectors.

New members include:

  • James Chase, president of Minneapolis-based Minnesota Community Measurement
  • Carol Cronin, director of the Annapolis, Md.-based Informed Patient Institute
  • Elizabeth J. Fowler, PhD, JD, vice president of global health policy at New Brunswick, N.J.-based Johnson & Johnson's Government Affairs and Policy group.
  • Marjorie Ginsburg, executive director of the Sacramento, Calif.-based Center for Healthcare Decisions
  • Karen Ignagni, president and CEO of Washington, D.C.-based America's Health Insurance Plans
  • David M. Shahian, MD, professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, vice president of Massachusetts General Hospital's Center for Quality and Safety and associate director of the MGH Codman Center for Clinical Effectiveness in Surgery, all based in Boston.
