North Carolina hospital taps chief nurse

Jacksonville, N.C.-based Onslow Memorial Hospital has appointed Crystal Bryan, MSN, RN, as chief nursing officer. 

Ms. Bryan has held various nursing leadership roles at the hospital, including director of the intermediate care unit and director of the intensive care unit, cardiac catheterization lab and cardiac telemetry, according to a Dec. 3 news release.

She’s helped lead efforts to achieve primary stroke certification from The Joint Commission, expand intermediate care unit capacity and streamline emergency department patient flow, among other initiatives.

The 162-bed community hospital is affiliated with Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health through a 2019 management agreement.
