New York hospital offers 100 free flu shots

Massena (N.Y.)  Memorial Hospital is offering free flu shots Nov. 7 to 100 patients age 18 or older.

The flu shots will be offered to community members in the hospital’s front lobby from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

To protect against the flu, patients should be vaccinated in October or November, according to the CDC.

In the week ending Oct. 27, U.S. influenza activity remains at a low level, but small increases in activity have been reported.
