New UV light disinfection findings to be revealed at APIC meeting

New clinical research on the efficacy of ultraviolet light disinfection technology will be presented at the 42nd Annual Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Educational Conference and International Meeting.

Two scientific posters to be presented June 27 evaluate the performance of Clorox Healthcare Optimum-UV System in the clinical settings. Those two posters are:

This poster is based on findings from the Women's Hospital in Newburgh, Ind., which implemented the Clorox Healthcare Optimum-UV System in addition to its existing infection control measures in its NICUs.
  • "Evaluating the Efficacy of UV Technology in Acute Care." This poster shows the performance of the Optimum-UV System in two hospitals when used in tandem with manual surface disinfection protocol.
