New Mexico hospital offers free drive-thru flu shots

Deming, N.M.-based Mimbres Memorial Hospital is offering free flu vaccines for its annual drive-thru flu clinic Oct. 27, according to the Deming Headlight.

Residents can receive free flu shots at the clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hospital’s front entrance.

The clinic is hosted by the Mimbres Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home, Mimbres Valley Medical Group, the Deming Police Department, county health department and county office of emergency management.

The CDC recommends a seasonal flu vaccine by the end of October for anyone 6 months and older.
