National Quality Forum creates the Health Equity Program

The National Quality Forum launched a multi-year program focused on reducing health disparities in the U.S.

The Health Equity Program features a portfolio of projects and resources, including the recently released NQF Roadmap to Promote Health Equity and Eliminate Disparities as well as the forum’s two-year trial that focused on risk adjusting healthcare performance measures for social risk factors.

NFQ will engage its 430-plus members in the program. The program will focus on:

●    Identifying disparities and those affected by health inequity
●    Influencing performance measurement
●    Inspiring implementation of best practices and innovative approaches
●    Informing payment
