National Institutes of Health Launches Emergency Care Research Office

The National Institutes of Health has launched an Office of Emergency Care Research to coordinate NIH research to improve health outcomes for emergency care patients, according to an AHA News Now report.

Walter Koroshetz, MD, the current deputy director of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, will oversee the office as an interim director until a permanent one is found.
