NAHQ creates framework for healthcare quality teams: 3 things to know

The National Association for Healthcare Quality created a framework outlining key competencies for healthcare quality teams.

Three things to know:

1. The framework outlines 29 competencies and 486 behavior-based statements across eight dimensions that healthcare quality teams can use to assess and adjust their own performance.

2. The tool was created using insights from a panel of national quality experts who identified crucial competencies of successful healthcare quality teams.

3. The framework aims to help healthcare organizations create more alignment among staff members to accelerate quality improvement efforts.
