Three updates:
1. Ohio and Alaska are the 29th and 30th states, respectively, to confirm measles infections this year. Ohio’s confirmed case marks the state’s first measles infection since 2017.
2. Four states are also experiencing at least one measles outbreak: New York, California, Washington and Texas. The outbreak in El Paso, Texas, marks the city’s first measles outbreak in 25 years.
3. The U.S.’s 2019 measles tally more than triples the 372 cases confirmed in 2018 and marks the largest number of cases since 1992.
