Previously, information on infection control and information on HAIs were offered separately by The Joint Commission.

The new portal also links to other resources on infection prevention resources. Issues covered in the portal include infection prevention guidelines, resources for the flu and enteroviruses and disinfection and sterilization resources, among others.

“The Joint Commission strives to provide the best possible resources for healthcare professionals in a way that is easy for them to access,” said Ana Pujols McKee, MD, executive vice president and CMO of The Joint Commission. “Our new Infection Prevention and HAI Portal accomplishes this by offering one simple place to find the most up-to-date information on these very important infection issues.”
