Prisma Biotech, an in-vitro diagnostic supplier company based in Taiwan, through its wholly owned subsidiary ReadGene, now contracts with Intermountain Precision Genomics, a service of Intermountain Healthcare, to offer ICG100 testing, according to a news release.
Intermountain Precision Genomics ICG100 testing identifies mutations within a person’s cancer to identify specific DNA targets for personalized drug treatments, Intermountain Healthcare said. At present, the testing is approved for late stage cancer patients who have failed a traditional treatment method.
Kevin Hung-Pin Tseng, president and CEO of Prisma Biotech, expressed excitement about the collaboration for ICG100 testing in Taiwan.
“Intermountain Healthcare has been one of the early adaptors of precision cancer genomics. We are very excited to be a partner of Intermountain Precision Genomics to introduce the comprehensive, end-to-end service to Taiwan, including testing, the molecular tumor board, matching drugs and monitoring the outcome. This will assist oncologists in Taiwan to implement precision genomics in treatment of cancer patients,” he said in a statement.
Jason Gillman, director of Intermountain Precision Genomics, also expressed enthusiasm.
