The infected employee may have exposed patients to the virus at multiple care sites, including the health system’s administrative offices in Queensbury, the Warrensburg (N.Y.) Health Center and West Mountain Primary Care in Queensbury.
“To prevent the spread of illness, the NYSDOH is advising individuals who may have been exposed and who have symptoms consistent with measles to contact their health care provider or a local emergency department before going for care. This will help to prevent others at these facilities from being exposed to the illness,” the health department said in the release.
Measles is a highly communicable virus characterized by symptoms such as fever, runny nose, cough and a red rash that covers the body.
