West Virginia Hospital Agrees to Pay $4.7M in Back Pay Following Merger

Signature Hospitals, the parent of St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va., has agreed to pay $4.7 million to employees for sick leave benefits the employees allege they lost when the hospital merged with Camden Clark Medical Center, also in Parkersburg, in March 2011, according to a WTAP report.

CCMC simultaneously merged with Fairmont, W.Va.-based West Virginia United Health System.

A judge is scheduled to review the settlement on March 29, according to the report.
