The physicians were recruited from various institutions, including New York University in New York City, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
The new physicians are specialists in areas such as electrophysiology, heart failure, interventional cardiology and heart transplantation. They will practice primarily at AGH as well as at other CVI locations, including Canonsburg (Pa.) General Hospital, Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, Pa., and West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
